Rick Rucker President
After hanging up his football cleats, Rick started his real estate career at 19 with his first flip. He took down several houses with a partner... lost money.... and quickly realized he needed to expand his knowledge of real estate.
He went on to attend Kent State University where he graduated cum laude with a BBA in marketing and accounting.
From there, he landed his first job at a mortgage broker. He has weathered the test of time in the mortgage business since 2005, made it through several squeezes, has held all positions in the finance world (including underwriting) and has closed north of 7500+ transactions.
In 2022: He partnered with his sister, Maya Rucker, to create networking groups to spread the knowledge of REI. Women Who Invest, Momentum CLE, Investor Source and several others around Ohio.
In 2025 he opened a boutique mortgage firm, Equity Capital Mortgage Group, with a targeted focus on people of color, women, investors, Gen Z/Millennial's. A largely underserved market he continues to fight for everyday.
In his spare time, he also spawned a career in music management/artist development and worked with every major record label in promotions. This includes working with multi-platinum musical artist from Akon to Bone Thugs In Harmony to 50 Cent and many more. He is currently partnered with, Krayzie Bone aka Anthony Henderson, on Harmony District Development.
